ACE Program

Achieving Connections through Education program supports low-income students in grades 6-8, who need help to improve achievement and behavior. ACE is supported by private donations through the MCSF, Medina City Schools, Let's Make a Difference, and other funding sources. Click here for more information.

The Summer Reinforcement Program is a tutoring program open to any child in the Medina City Schools, age 3 to 14 years, in need of academic support with Reading and Math. The students meet in a classroom setting, and focus on Reading skills under the direction of a qualified teacher for five weeks in June and July.  Sessions are held in one of the district’s elementary buildings.  All children are eligible to attend.  Click here to read more.

Joyce Ebner Tutoring Center

The Volunteer Tutoring Center offers student and adult volunteer tutors to middle school and high school students who need assistance in specific subject areas, annually providing over 200 tutor/student matches. This is a free service.  Click here to read more about the Tutoring Center and to download a Request for Tutor form.

This peer mentoring program stands for Helping Us Develop Dedication, Leadership, & Enthusiasm. Juniors and Seniors in high school visit the 4th grade classes throughout the district to discuss important topics like bullying, friendship and staying away from drugs. Add an "S"  to HUDDLE and you get STILL Helping..., where 6th grade students are exposed to similar mentoring.  Click here to read more.
